The auto body repair process isn’t complicated at West Body Shop. Here is what you can expect after getting started with us. Not all steps may be used for your vehicle, depending on your repair need.

INITIAL REPAIR ESTIMATE

Before we start work, we provide an estimate. We inspect your vehicle and enter the information into estimate software systems in the Estimate Process. We can then generate a calculation that determines the initial cost of repair. Estimates do not include any hidden damages found until vehicle disassembly.

INSURANCE APPROVAL

With the finished estimate, your insurance company will review our estimate. There may be some negotiations needed to repair the vehicle. Your insurance company will determine if the vehicle is even repairable. Once this procedure is completed and approved, the car begins its repair and restoration processes.

AUTO DISASSEMBLY

In Disassembly, We find hidden damage often. We review structure repairs at this point. Usually, this will require insurance company re-inspection, and We will need to order additional parts for your vehicle.

PARTS ARE ORDERED

We order necessary parts for your vehicle, and part availability is checked and coordinated with our repair technicians. Suppose a repair part is a challenging source or needs a special order. We will request that part as soon as possible.

AUTO STRUCTURE REPAIR

We repair your vehicle body to factory specification in the Structure Repair process. We may use our sophisticated measuring system may monitor all phases in this process. This system assures an accurate repair for your vehicle.

AUTO BODY REPAIR

The Body Repair process replaces any exterior panels and completes all metal finishing that may be necessary. The vehicle returns to a pre-damage look as sheet metal is installed, fitted, and aligned. From here, the car will begin paint preparations. 

AUTO PAINTING

Paint preparation is a key step in the refinishing process of every customer’s vehicle. We prepare all body panels for paint, then prime and seal to ensure good adhesion. A color match will be conducted on your vehicle to verify its paint color. After the color coat is applied, the final clear coats of paint are applied.

AUTO REASSEMBLY

Moldings and detail pieces return to the vehicle in the reassembly process. The vehicle’s systems are reviewed and inspected during this repair process. The car is almost ready to return to you. 

AUTO DETAILING

During the repair process, your vehicle accumulates dust and debris from the repair process. We clean your car thoroughly as we can—next, we road test to verify that your vehicle is performing correctly. Our final inspection will assure that the repairs return your vehicle to its pre-accident condition.

COMPLETED

Delivery back to you is the last step in our repair process. When you arrive to pick up the vehicle, We will explain your bill and complete the final paperwork. You can drive away in your repaired vehicle to its pre-accident condition!
